Heronry, Panamaram, Wayanad, Kerala


Day by day the land is invaded and the wild creatures are in search of a calm and serene area away from human. The migratory birds are coming each year to Panamaram Heronry and find place for themselves on the shore of Panamaram River, the tributary of Kabani River, even though there are plenty of threats before them...

When we visited Kuruva

Kuruva island is situated at the sangamam (amalgamation) of two tributaries of Kabani River, Panamaram Puzha and Mananthavady Puzha.
This 950 acres vast island is abundantly rich with variety flora and fauna, a magnificent picnic spot in Wayanad

The Beauty of Paddy Fields






It is rainy 
season




The stream is muddy

It is the time to plant
the paddy seedlings. The farmers are busy with ploughing and planting the seedlings.We can see all these beautiful scenes through out the paddy fields of Wayanad.Feel the smell of fields being ploughed.
